Windjammers 2 Open Beta Begins on PS4, PS5, and PC Tomorrow

Even more people will get a chance to sample Windjammers 2 while helping Dotemu with testing, as an open beta is coming to the PS4, PS5, and PC. Between August 11-22, 2024, people will have a chance to play through a bit of the game against others with a few select characters. The game’s often appeared during Steam Game Festivals.

The only match option will be Online Ranked Play during the open beta. People playing on PCs via Steam will only face other PC owners. However, if someone is on a PS4 or PS5 and taking part in the beta, cross-play will allow them to play with anyone on any PlayStation console. The only characters who will appear during this test are Gary Scott, Loris Biaggi, Sophie de Lys, and Steve Miller. Of those, Sophie is the only new character.

Here’s the trailer announcing the Windjammers 2 PS4, PS5, and PC open beta. Please note that while its description claims the beta will run August 5-15, 2024, that is incorrect.
