Wrath of the Righteous — How to unlock the Devil Mythic Path

The Devil Mythic Path is one of the oddest and trickiest to obtain in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. That’s because there are many ways for you to screw up without realizing it at first. In any case, here’s our Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous guide to help you unlock the Devil Mythic Path, as well as your dealings with Melies and Early Sunset.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous – How to unlock the Devil Mythic Path

To be clear, the Devil Mythic Path in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is quite unique in that it requires you to select either Aeon or Azata first. You can do this just as you’re about to capture Drezen toward the end of Act II.

Then, in Act III, a unique advisor should arrive at your court. The Aeon path gets Melies the Devil, and the Azata path gets Early Sunset. You might need to complete a particular task first just so either Melies or Early Sunset would appear. For Azata, that means visiting your sanctuary that’s north of Drezen.

Note: I chose the Azata Path here because I messed up my playthrough. I accidentally progressed further while using a save where I didn’t choose the Aeon dialogue option at the Wardstone. This mishap prevented me from unlocking it.

Anyway, your goal is to take note of the recommendations given by your advisor. I’m not sure about what Melies does, but here are some examples for Early Sunset:

• Treants: Evil – “I’ll let you join on the conditions Early Sunset mentioned. You’ll tell us where your groves are located and be responsible for any misdeeds.”
• Shady Individuals/Kel Five Knives: Lawful – “Guards, seize this man and hand him over to the nearest Hellknight authority!”
• Child Caravan: Lawful – “I can’t put these young souls in harm’s way.”

From what I can gather, you should be in the clear as long as you’re following the recommendations of Melies or Early Sunset. Continue progressing further until you reach Mythic Rank 8. At this point, you’ll get to choose your full transformation. However, the Devil Mythic Path still isn’t showing up here. That’s because you need to pick the same option as before (Aeon or Azata) to lock you in. Your advisor will then give you a trial which, in turn, unlocks the Devil Mythic Path.

The Devil Mythic Path in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is an amalgamation of the Angel and Demon options, along with some of the abilities that you’ve picked up as either Aeon or Azata from the previous ranks.
