Square Enix has revealed that a Final Fantasy XI Welcome Back Campaign will be held through the month of August. During a select period, those with already existing Final Fantasy XI accounts that have remained inactive through a select period will be able to access the game entirely for free. Players will have a total of ten days to take advantage of the Final Fantasy XI Welcome Back Campaign. The campaign will begin on August 13 and last until August 23, 2024. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
As mentioned previously, the Final Fantasy XI Welcome Back Campaign will grant players up to ten days of free game time. In order to take advantage of the campaign the prerequisites are as follows:
- Your PlayOnline account must have been transferred to a Square Enix account.
- You must have an active PlayOnline/Final Fantasy XI account.
- Your character status under the inactive character must be set to cancelled as of August 10, 2024.
The full details of the campaign and its events are available to view through the official website. In the past, Square Enix has held similar campaigns for Final Fantasy XI. Additionally, Final Fantasy XI will be available to purchase at a discounted price. Consumers can purchase the digital edition of Final Fantasy XI at a discounted price from August 13 to August 31, 2024. The World Transfer Service cost will also receive a discount during this period.
