When you get the quest, the first thing you need to do is use lightning on the statue. If you have no electro user, progress in the story until the traveler gets it. Grab the item from the shrine and head into the village. You have to talk to everyone here, including the boy on the roof and the grandma that is in the gardens. When you talk to everyone, three markers will pop up on the screen.

Clear the enemies at the cart and check it, same with in the water, and at the well check the bucket. Give all three items to the mayor and he will tell you to look on his roof for a book. Find the book and go to the marker for a fight. Beat the enemies and then dig under the broken wood part to find the well key. Now head back to the well and go inside. Use a claymore user or a strong pyro user with your ultimate agility to clear the stones down there.

Follow the path down until you see a orb of lightning. Follow it through the room until it pops up a chest. Open the chest and climb back up to the top of that room. Now interact with the Electrogranum up top. This will put a little purple orb around you and let you cross through the lightning barrier down below. Now you have one more puzzle to do.

There are five altars you can interact with and each of them needs a number 1-5. 1 cannot be changed so we will start there. From 1 while looking at the purple portal pattern, go to the two alters on the right. The one neared the 1 altar should already be a 2, so leave it. The one back in the corner needs to be a 3 so change it. Now head back to the one and go left. The first one on the left is to be a 4 and the last one on the left is the 5. Interact with the 1 again to break the seal and get a fight.

After you beat the fight you will get another part of the quest and your reward.
