PUBG Mobile, Honor of kings, and Fate/Grand Order lead as highest grossing titles for the month
Market analyst firm Sensor Tower reports that for the month of August the global mobile game market generated $7.7 billion in player spending.
Sensor Tower says that the revenue figure represents growth of 8.6% year-over-year.
The highest grossing game for the month was Tencent’s PUBG Mobile at reportedly $270 million during the month. That was followed by Tecent’s Honor of Kings at $256.2 million and Sony Aniplex’s Fate/Grand Order at $133.8 million.
Additionally, Sensor Tower reports that Fate/Grand Order has amassed nearly $5.5 billion in lifetime player spending to date.
Sensor Tower’s revenue estimates and rankings do not include information from third-party Android stores in China or other regions.
