Today Square Enix hosted a livestream from Japan to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Mana JRPG series, known in Japan as Seiken Densetsu.
First of all, series producer Masaru Oyamada revealed that a new game of the Mana series for consoles is in development, but there is still a lot of work to do so we should wait longer for the reveal.
We also get the announcement of the inevitable free-to-play mobile game for iOS and Android, titled Echoes of Mana. It’ll release worldwide in 2024 and it’ll be an all-stars action JRPG including many characters from the whole series.

For those who love Legend of Mana, there was another surprise: an anime version titled Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal is being developed by Warner Bros. Japan.
The animation will be handled by Graphinica and Yokohama Animation Laboratory and you can see the key artwork at the bottom of the post.
Lastly, a version for iOS and Android of Trials of Mana is coming and will be released on July 15, priced at 2,940 yen (which translates to approximately $27). The game’s controls and interface have been adapted to facilitate playing on a touch screen.
