Atlus released a new trailer for Shin Megami Tensei 5 today, and also revealed that the game will come in several special editions. The trailer itself is pretty lengthy and shows off several aspects of the game’s battle system, a bunch of demons, some environmental traversal, and more.
In Shin Megami Tensei 5, players will “play as a high school student who wakes up in post-apocalyptic Tokyo, now an abandoned wasteland Attacked by demons, he fuses together with a mysterious man and obtains newfound powers. In a conflict between mythical deities and demonic tyrants, you dictate the fate of the world.”
Players will make choices that will either drive you towards the light or darkness. As usual, players will fight using the series’ classic Press Turn Battle System, which gives you additional actions if you exploit enemy’s weaknesses and takes actions away if you make mistakes. You’ll also be able to recruit demons to your team via negotiation ad fuse new demons to form your team.
Shin Megami Tensei V will release on Nintendo Switch on November 11 in Japan and November 12 worldwide.
