Square Enix has confirmed that they are hard at work on a brand new Mana console experience and also a new smartphone title which is scheduled for release next year on iOS and Android. The new smartphone game is named Echoes of Mana and appears to be a worldwide release, rather than just Japan. The console Mana game hasn’t been given a title, and platforms have yet to be confirmed. Square Enix is also planning an anime for the Legend of Mana, along with an anime series for Final Fantasy IX. Going back to the console Mana game, the series creator Koichi Ishii, says that he will “pour all the energy that fans have given into the new game.”
