
The Japanese government’s Official Gazette has reported this morning that The Pokemon Company recorded record profits last year. The company’s total sales reached a staggering 120 billion Yen during the fiscal year which ended on 28th February, 2023. Dr. Serkan Toto believes that this fiscal year, which started on March 2023, will surpass the record breaking profits. He rightly points out that this will include New Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl and the intriguing, Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Here’s the company’s financial performance during the last fiscal year:
- Sales: 120 billion yen (US$1.1 billion)
- Operating profit: 27.8 billion yen (US$254 million)
- Net profit: 18.6 billion yen (US$170 million)
