Keep Kazuma Kiryu’s eyes and furrowed brows on the goal as he rolls into Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania. The star mobster from Sega’s beloved brawler series Yakuza will be joining AiAi and the rest of the monkey crew in the upcoming remake and collection as a free unlockable character.
Kiryu comes to the game rocking his iconic white blazer and unbuttoned red shirt — the only difference is that he’s super shrunk down. What more is that, instead of collecting bananas (the standard collectible in the Monkey Ball series), he gets to pick up energy drinks.
Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania is on a roll with its character collaborations. Sega recently announced that Sonic and Tails would be joining the game, as will Beat from Jet Set Radio. The obvious question is: Will Majima also be there?
Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania is a high-definition remake of the original three Super Monkey Ball games. It’s scheduled to launch to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on Oct. 5. The console versions will costs $39.99, while the PC version costs $29.99.
