A new Kotaku report based on several sources gives an overview of Rockstar’s plans to remaster a number of classic titles. The PlayStation 2 GTA games are apparently first on the agenda, but the article also briefly mentions that the developer is prepared to revive Red Dead Redemption.
Ever since the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 — well, even before that — fans have been asking for a Red Dead Redemption remaster. After all, the game first released over a decade ago — way back in 2010 for the PS3, if you can believe it.
And again, the report says that Rockstar plans on doing it — but it could all depend on how well its first wave of remasters sell. In other words, it’s supposedly testing the waters with its GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas remasters before it commits to more remaster projects.
