Abandoned is real. Sort of. After much scepticism, it seems Dutch developer Blue Box Game Studios really has delivered on its target release date for its Realtime Experience app, as pre-loads on PlayStation 5 are rolling out around the world. Images on Reddit show the demo on the PS Store, alongside some screenshots of its contents at this stage.
To be fair, the indie studio already confirmed that the app’s first trailer wouldn’t roll out until 10th August, so there’s not a whole lot to see at the moment. Boot the client and you’ll be treated to an image of the developer’s logo, an option to select your language, and a message to check back soon. And that’s your lot.
We suppose the takeaway here is that the project, which has felt like smoke and mirrors since the start, has finally delivered something tangible. It may not be much, but it’s just about enough to keep this whole story treading water for the time being.
